Next up is a London themed box, received by the fabulous Vicky Trainor (I'm jealous of whoever gets her box!)

After waiting ALL DAY to open it (she must have the patience of a saint) she writes...

"A package was delivered yesterday all wrapped up in a big brown envelope.  It sat on my work table unopened all afternoon and evening, as I wanted to open it in peace and quiet.  Having two little girls, I knew that once the contents were laid open I would be lucky if anything would be left.  I can’t have any possessions to myself without sharing with those gorgeous two, but we all know how important it is to show our children the importance of sharing, however on this occasion I want to be totally selfish!!!!

Firstly I just want to point your attention to the wonderful collaged box – all of fabulous London pics…”This box is a tribute to my beloved and treasured hometown of London”….  A wonderful personal touch.  I am also now the proud owner of the smallest alarm clock in England which will sit rather nicely in my caravan."

The book looks like a great read-let us know what you think of it Vicky!

Next up we have a biggun...and we all love a biggun don't we ;-) Rachel writes...

"I received my box yesterday and I'd like to enter it in the biggest box category!!!

A knock at the door caught me by surprise as did the UPS man standing there with the most humongous box!

Wrapped in my favourite brown paper and decorated with gorgeous vintage inspired images, the box itself was a beautiful gift!

On opening the box (being careful to save the beautiful stickers!) I was even more delighted.   The most gorgeous ‘LOVE’ hanging sign with handmade mini paper bunting along with an amazing paper bloom with some wonderful words attached on a tag first caught my eye...

‘I’d rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck’

A collection of magnets, a pocket mirror and notebook all in a lovely French chic postcard style, in the words of my husband, ‘how did this person know we needed nice magnets for the fridge?!’

A fabulous necklace with cute camera charm which connects well to the beautiful selection of photographs, I’m already seeking out a frame and wall space for these to go!

A set of mini alphabet stamps and pink ink (what to stamp first?) and a lovely felt heart and handmade felt brooch which will work perfectly on my new maternity coat!

Thank you so much fellow curious one, you made my week! X"

We want the giant 'Love' sign damnit!!

Earlier this morning we had a new entry from Evie, who was extremely happy with the contents of her curiosity box.

"I received and adored my box full of lovely gifts and they really brought some sunshine into what would have normally been a very mundane and dull day! My box contained some fabulous heart confetti made from old french novels, a divine hand made jewellery set, a stunning vintage paperchain kit and most precious was a handwritten recipe book of all the senders favourite recipes including a whole vegetarian section just for me! :) I cannot thank you enough for organising this event, and I cannot thank my sender enough for filling my life full of such lovely treats!"

We think everyone should share their favourite recipes!

Box #27 is a treasure in itself-what a beautiful keepsake. Recipient Laura is actually using some of her trickets for her wedding next year...

"My box arrived and I couldn't wait to photograph the contents.

It came in a beautiful, purple sparkly box and purple and sparkly happen to be two of my favourite things. There was a very sweet note that explained that the contents were chosen because of the senders love of trinkets.

All of the things in my box were brilliant and right up my street but the brooch was extra welcome because I'm getting married next year and I'm making my own brooch and fabric flower bouquet, so who ever sent my box, thank you - your trinket will be a part of my wedding."

Recipient Anna received a box geared towards the sense. She writes...

"Yay for curiosity. I wish I could have made my deliciously suggested cupcake recipe for the photos but alas time marched on.

It took me some time to actually open it. I wanted to delay the enjoyment. At Christmas I'm the one who opens her presents last. I just don't want it to be over. But when i finally opened my box I was certainly not disappointed. Oh so pretty! My sender had the ingenious idea of titillating each of my senses. From pretty ribbons and nail varnish to exciting Jazz music and exquisite wax sealed notes.

Thank you!

A curious lady."

Good Morning you curious lot! Today's post is without doubt one of the loveliest boxes we've ever seen, as you're about to see for yourselves. So much detail, love and attention has gone into this one as recipient Kim Herbing tells us...

"Today my fabulous curiosity project box arrived full of some absolutely amazing treasures!

Included were many items giving me an insight into my ‘curious friend’s’ life and likes!! My curious friend’s likes include Charlie Chaplin, Roald Dahl and beautiful smelling items.

Not only did my curious friend include many fabulous treats but also some really personal touches too. My curious friend made me a CD of their favourite songs, including My Baby Just Cares For Me – Nina Simone, Daddy Played The Banjo – Steve Martin, Come Away With Me – Norah Jones and I Want You – Celo Green. These tunes are all SO me and this is now my favourite complication album in the world! I also received some hand-written recipes for cupcakes and even the cupcake cases to make them in, and a list of great places to visit if I ever find myself in Manchester.

I’m so thrilled with my treasures and would like to thank my ‘curious friend’ from the bottom of my heart.

Just three words from us. Love. Love. Love.

Next up, something for the senses from recipient Claire Williams who believes her box is one to rival the best of them...

"Mine came all wrapped up in cute blue butterfly paper, and it was even cuter inside. The card from my Curious Friend told me that there were 5 gifts inside, one for each of the senses (and the 6th sense is to guess what they are like). For my sense of hearing was a beautiful heart shaped decoration, complete with little silver bells. For my sight, the adorable Oh Comely magazine (which I'll read with a cuppa later). My sense of touch will be satisfied when I attempt to make some origami with my new kit, my sense of smell contented with a lavender bag handmade especially for me, and without breaking the rules of confectionary - the sense of taste covered by an organza bag thoughtfully filled with mini cupcake cases with some truffle, brownie and macaroon recipes. I'm in love! Massive thank yous to my Curious Friend - it's like they know me so well!"

We love the idea of including recipes...especially anything to do with macarons!

Today's first post is insanely gorgeous, PACKED to bursting with lots of little bits of happiness and the response is equally lovely-there's a little something for everyone to enjoy today...

Recipient Carla from Devon was over-the-moon excited when she received her box. She just so happens to be my step-sister and with her other half currently away in Afghanistan the project has been a great way to keep her distracted until his return in a few weeks. She writes...

"Dear Curious Sender,

Your box had so much thought, creativity and effort poured into it I didn't want to just say 'thank you'. I tried writing a poem, but that has never been a skill of mine. Everything you did matched me so well that I couldn't help but wonder if we had in fact met before and you already knew me!!!

I love tea, in many different forms, and there seemed to been a bit of a tea theme running through my box, so in thanks I give to you a rather delicious recipe for Indian Chai Tea:

Ingredients:

1pt water

1inch cinnamon stick

8 green cardamon pods

8 cloves

tbsp grated fresh ginger

6fl oz whole milk

6 teaspoons sugar (or a bit less to your taste)

1 teabag or 2 level tsp loose tea (assam works well)

Method:

Put the water, cinnamon, cardamon, cloves and ginger in a pan and bring to the boil. Simmer for 10 minutes

Add the milk and sugar

Bring back to a simmer and then remove from the heat

Once off the heat, add the teabag/loose tea, brew for 2 minutes

Strain and serve

Perfect for autumn evenings.

Enjoy

We're off the raid the spice cupboard...

Our 20th box this morning comes from recipient Hannah, the contents of which are bright and cheery...

"I absolutely loved my box and the thought that had gone into it. My sender had created a theme, which was Orange, so everything thing in my box was some kind of orange! My favourite items were the cockerel feather and the orange spikey dog!! Also the bunting from my box now resides in pride of place in the bedroom!"

What a great idea to theme your box, and the bunting is to die for.

Today's first post is a little on the cryptic side. What does it mean?! Recipient Julia is just as confused as we are...

"As you can see the present I received is very "curious" sadly as the sender is anonymous I can't ask it's meaning, but I am not really sure what it's represents...I hope its not voodoo. Ha ha"

So to the sender of this sparkly little lady...are you a lover of Barbies? Do you love to dance? Is she a good luck charm?

"After days of seeing other peoples boxes arrive, mine finally did. After missing the postman, and running after him in the street (in my pjs), I finally had it!

As I opened the brown packaging there was the heavenly scent of lavender and I knew that I would love what ever was going to be inside. I untied the ribbon and ripped off the tissue paper to find some lavender, a cute cupcake badge, a bar of rose soap, some wax crayons, a little notepad and a ceramic heart which read "there is no set path, just follow your heart".

I love everything in there, it has encouraged the child in me to get colouring.

Thank you to whoever sent it."

What a great idea to fill your box with the gorgeous scent of lavender, a lovely reminder of the summer...

I'm really rather adoring the contents of this box, especially the box itself. Recipient Dana Bolton writes...

"My box was a real delight even before I had opened it up,something to keep in itself. There was a lovely quote on the envelope of my card but I lost it!! I love the knitted pumpkin, we are having a bit of a Halloween do here ( Quite big on Halloween here) so very much in theme. The sweet ornate cut glass bowl and pretty tin will be used for parma violets or mints. The note books are already in use and the ribbons will definitely be come something over Xmas. I also received a wonderful gold tone fifties brooch, something I intend to wear, beautiful.Thank you so much, who ever you are !! The box is abundant and a real pleasure."

Who is the person responsible for putting a smile on Dana's face?
